Tim bought a box of cream puffs at the grocery store and when we ran out, I had a hankering to make some more. This was an easy recipe and I have made 3 batches so far!

INGREDIENTS
1 can whipped vanilla icing OR
1 can aerosol extra creamy whipped cream
1/2 cup butter
1 cup water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Break all 4 eggs into a bowl and set aside (don't whisk the eggs).
In a large pot, bring water and butter to a rolling boil. Stir in flour and salt until the mixture forms a ball. Transfer the dough to a large mixing bowl. Using a wooden spoon or stand mixer, beat in the eggs all at once, and mix well. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a baking stone.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in the preheated oven, until golden brown. Centers should be dry.
Take a toothpick and poke a hole into each puff to let steam escape.
When the shells are cool, either split and fill them with the whipped icing using a pastry bag to pipe into the shells or fill with the whipped cream. Don't fill too full or else the filling will "explode" when you bite into it.
